Meet Our Special Guest:

Judith Ra’anan

As Chicago residents Judith Ra’anan and Natalie, her 18-year-old daughter, sat expectantly in the plane bound for Israel, neither could have imagined their ultimate destination would be… Hell.

The plan was to celebrate the 85th birthday of Judith’s mother, a resident of Kibbutz Nahal Oz. It was bright. It was sunny. They were giddy with anticipation.  It was October 7th, 2023.

Judith and Natalie were taken hostage and into Gaza.   With unfaltering faith, Judith prayed. And they were delivered, miraculously to be among the first to be released by their captors two weeks later. But Judith remains in the grip of memory, praying and advocating daily for those who remain.

Judith’s experience has left her family forever scarred by the attack, some murdered, some taken hostage, some others freed. But despite her own ordeal, Judith continues to spread a message of resilience and faith, encouraging Jews to come together and support one another. Hear her story and be inspired by her courage.
